# Emergence ###### The Emergence is said to have been the moment upon the cosmos in which the gods emerged. From an abyss of nothing, they were birthed into existence. Very little is known of this event, but many believe that this war brought the gods together--and with Saia at their command, aided in breathing true life into the world of Syphora. # The Unknown Ages #### ? B.D. - 1 B.D. ###### The Unknown Ages are a collection of ages in the era before the Calamity. It is said that this era flourished in peace, prosperity, and magic. A newborn world erupting in magnitude as all life took shape across its many lands. B.D. - 1 B.D._ > The Calamity was a war between the Prime Deities and the Betrayer Gods. This war spawned incredible evils and powerful magical artifacts spanning hundreds, if not thousands, of years in the past. It is said that this war spanned anywhere from 800-1000 years long and nearly destroyed the world itself. > [!timeline|t-c t-1 c-white bg-white] **The Great Divergence** > The Great Divergence is an event in which the Prime Deities raised a holy divine gate to end the Calamity and bring peace upon their fractured world--sealing away the Betrayer Gods. # Era of Restoration #### 1 P.D. - 300 P.D. ###### The Era of Restoration was the previous era of the world—a time in which the world was in the prime of its healing and embracing a new age. It was this era that shaped the most of early civilization since the Calamity. Each year is documented in intervals of 1 P.D. (Post-Divergence). > [!timeline|t-l t-1 c-white bg-yellow] **Founding of the Holy Kingdom of Sorathane** _5 P.D._ > In the year 5 P.D. the King of Sorathane founded the Holy Kingdom of Sorathane. > [!timeline|t-r t-3 c-white bg-red] **War of Sunder** _230 P.D. - 239 P.D._ > A dramatic war that broke out within the walls of the Holy Kingdom of Sorathane between King Lihan I and 3 elven rulers who bore marks of the holy. After about 10 years of bloodshed, the King succumbed and aided each of them in pursuing land of their own. > [!timeline|t-l t-0 c-white bg-yellow] **Founding of the Three Grand Kingdoms** _240 P.D._ > Proceeding the divergence of leadership from the Holy Kingdom of Sorathane, three elven nobles sought lands of their own, and after 10 years of revolution, split off into separate quadrants of Southern Valkion to raise the 3 great kingdoms of Foryn, Ceilunea, and Ithor. # Current Era #### 301 P.D. - Current ###### The current era of the world--proceeding centuries of healing, nature and civilization has finally begun to sprout and grow into something more. This era of the world is dedicated towards knowledge and expansion. > [!timeline|t-r t-1 c-white bg-red] **War of Light and Shadow** _405 P.D. - 410 P.D._ > A rebellion broke out within the Holy Kingdom of Sorathane, consisting primarily of nobility, priests, and commonfolk who were displeased by their laws and religion. This revolution ended with a large group splitting off from the Kingdom to seek a land of their own. > [!timeline|t-l t-0 c-white bg-yellow] **Founding of the Kingdom of Axonder** _415 P.D._ > Seeking knowledge and truth, those who split from Sorathane traveled southwards to a land they thought to be blessed by Saia herself. Finding themselves in the Aegisciel Fields just before the Lands of Despair, their leader, [[Aeon Axonder]], declared the land they settled on to be what is now known as the [[Kingdom of Axonder]]; A land shrouded in near-constant darkness and clouded skies. > [!timeline|t-r t-1 c-white bg-red] **Battle of Austère** _430 P.D. - 443 P.D._ > A harrowing war that broke out within the [[Kingdom of Axonder]], where creatures of darkness emerged from mist now known to be a phenomenon called the Sombre. Already struggling in money, farmland, and fight against monsters already living in the new land, it was around this time that the [[Kingdom of Ithor]] truly lent their aid as the Kingdom threatened to fall. After catching wind of this, the [[Holy Kingdom of Sorathane]] sent paladins and priests to aid in battle against "demons" and "tormented souls."
