While the stature of a solayn very closely resembles that of a human, there are many aspects of the race that showcase their butterfly-like heritage. They have long and thin antennae on their heads and lack visible ears. Their eyes usually tend to look almost bug-like or ethereal and their mouths and noses look visibly similar to that of a human’s, but their tongues look like a butterfly’s proboscis. Additionally, they have typically straight, human-like hair that can range between all sorts of styles and colors. Their bodies are typically also fuzzy, covering the majority of their body and covering a thin exoskeleton layer where a normal human would have skin. And although uncommon, some solayn still have a butterfly-like abdomen at their sacrum. The most identifiable aspects of a solayn’s body are their large butterfly-like wings, four segmented arms, and insect-like legs. Their four arms each have 2 visible areas where they thin out into segments—the elbow and the wrist. Their first set of arms are located where a human’s would, and their other two arms extend right above their waist. Their legs are unguligrade in their structure and usually end in small claws. These legs are also usually the area that has the least amount of fuzz, hair, or otherwise. Solayn always have two sets of wings—two forewings and two hindwings. Despite the typical height of a solayn ranging between 5'10"-6'4", there is truly no definitive size in which they are. Depending on the heritage, a solayn could be as tall as 4'6" just as much as they could be 7'2". Scarcely are they ever shorter or taller than that, however.
#### Personality ... They also have a tendency to find themselves enthralled by magic. Whether this be some sort of magic item, magic aura, or anything that exudes a powerful magic energy, they will typically find themselves allured by it. It is rare for this sense to be detrimental to a solayn, but it’s a reaction that remains ever-present in their race.

## History #### Origins ... TBA
#### Society ... Most solayn live civilly amongst their own kin, living honestly and generally in unison alongside one another, as opposed to finding themselves mingling with other races. Because of their insectoid appearance, it is common for most people to find themselves distancing from people of this race and the lives they bring. However, they are one of two insectoid races that also tend to be welcomed much more often than most other insectoid races. Thanks to this, their rich culture has helped in spreading amongst many other lives, even though most solayn civilizations have integrated themselves into higher society.

## Powers and abilities TBA

## Notable solayn ##### PCs ...
